  • What's the time progression on Standard?

How many years per turn for each of the eras?

  • #2
The eras are advanced by learning certain techs, the number turns that have taken place have nothing to do with it.

BtS will actually tell you if learning a tech will take you to the next era.

EDIT: My bad didn't read the post correctly. The number of years per turn have nothing to do with the current era, they just get smaller the farther you go.

      For normal:
      75 turns: 40 years/turn
      60 turns: 20 years/turn
      25 turns: 15 years/turn
      40 turns: 10 years/turn
      50 turns: 5 years/turn
      50 turns: 2 years/turn
      160 turns: 1 year/turn

The entire numbers (and the ability to change them) are in /assets/xml/gameinfo/civ4gamespeedinfo.xml ...

So the number of turns progression changes at a fixed pace rather than at the change of eras? And the list you showed doesn't sum up to 6050 years (4000BC to 2050AD).

That adds up to 460 turns. BTS changed it to 500 turns on standard.
