Shaka said this to me the other day when I was playing as Isabel, founded Hinduism and shortly after accepted his demand to convert (free diplomacy points). It just struck me as being quite odd that he quotes from 20th century lyrics to a western (as in the culture) song. Not that I mind really, he had a very rich baritone voice so the song itself was not entirely unpleasant. It might not really have been considered an appropriate way to celebrate our new-found religious bond.
Talking of strange things that CIV says to me, I also had a warrior killed “trying” to attack a lion. Now if it wasn’t worse losing my lone warrior to a weaker foe, the shame was even greater when I found out that they had died through some form of clumsiness in some sort of attempt to attack. What it was that actually killed the warrior I was never told. Possibly the lions did kill them but I rather imagine the lion being disabled by a fit of laughing at my inept military unit tripping over their clubs and fallen of a large rock.
