    What a pathetic wishy washy excuse of a reply. Something absolutely must be done.

    Maybe the above could be an option, but it would be one I'd only use if I was broke. No, not even then.

    What might other options be?

    "I'm not going to join you in your war at this time."

    What else?

              How about an option to say "Maybe, so what will you give me to join in on your side?". After all if I'm going to join a war I want an incentive (especdially when it is a war on another continent prior to Astronomy ).
              Never give an AI an even break.

                  If we want an AI civ to join in a war we have to give our right arm. They give us nothing on the other hand, doesn't seem square.
