+2 Hammers from Temples/Monastaries?

In my recent game I went free religion after I was a different religion than the AP and I was getting the hammers during both circumstances.

Hammers come for buildings of the same religion as the AP, whatever religion you are. However, if the AP builder switches religion, they are lost to the builder. Similarly, if you defy a resolution, you lose the bonus. Is that it in a nutshell?

Nah, the builder doesn't lose them if he switches religion, the hammers stay with his buildings of the AP religion.

So I see. The AP doesn't work that way though, I often build it and always keep the bonus when I switch to free religion. Just tested switching to a different religion in my current game and kept the bonus there too.
