  • Glance Tab

Please bring back the glance tab in the diplo screen, It helped make some sense of diplomacy.

Any ideas why it was taken away?

It was "too ugly". This is not a joke.

If "too ugly" is a disqualification for participating in Civ, how many of us would be disqualified?

I am very disinclined to criticize Firaxis, but this decision is the one of the strangest I have seen.

This isn't a beauty contest, that was useful, if unattractive data.

Appearently all you have to do to add it back is remove "#" in the line of some file.

Edit: here is how to add it back http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpo...6&postcount=30

It would be one of the python files, I can probably figure it out when I get home if I remember to check. All of those screens are python screens (and often subject of mods themselves).

And for someone who has never lingered with boas, can I just open that file in notepad and do the editing there? Or do I need some particular python coding client?

Solver, will that affect MP ability (is that part of the checksum for *MOD*)?

Yes, probably. Plop your modified file(s) in the CustomAssets folder and you should be fine though.

I re-did the glance screen. Trouble is, this involves a rebuilt dll:

Wait, was it just removed in the latest patch?

                              Yes, 313 removed it.
Might not have been the best prettiest screen but in was very much functional and easy to use.

I note that you can get the same info on the relations tab.
