So I got the quest to build 11 Harbors in my cities before I get to the industrial age. Ok fine I am doing that now. What do I get if I succeed? +1 food in my capital? hehe.
All I remember is that there are choices for the reward. Three, I think - one was some promotion benefit, another was extra gold from Harbours, the third was something else...

Thanks Solver! Its kinda funny last night I was racing to try and get the appostolic palace and realized when I created the game I 'un-checked' diplomatic victory. Thus the palace is no where to be seen...LOL I was wondering if it was a part of the next war mod not to have it but realized I must have un checked diplomo win.

There is no need to increase the gold bonus per turn on Marathon for scaling purposes. Just the fact that there are more turns on Marathon would provide the needed scaling.
Well, on a huge map you need to build more harbors (or whatever) to complete quests, so perhaps the reward scales up on bigger maps to match the increased difficulty of completing the quest?
