  • "BtS Tri-League Tournament" Begins

Be a novice, intermediate or advanced Civilization IV player Apolyton Civilization Site (ACS) has a Beyond the Sword league for you. Today marks the beginning of the "Tri-League Tournament" which is starting with a series of single-player games for the enjoyment of all for good natured, competitive fun. Overseen by ACS staff and community members Matt "Nugog" G. and Rob "RobWorham" Worham, a sign-up thread for each of the three leagues has been setup.

"It is our aim to start two games a month, at two week intervals, for each league", says Matt. "Each game will last for one month so you have plenty of time to play each game at a leisurely pace.

Each game will be created by the tournament admins and saved on the very first turn and posted in its own thread. Players are then welcome to download the save and play the game out to its conclusion, whether to victory or defeat in accordance to the rules".

In each of the tournament's three leagues, each game winner is awarded a 1 month subscription to ACS' "ApolytonPLUS" or this length of an extension to their existing subscription where applicable. Should a game winner be a "PLUS" Lifetime subscriber, they have the option to bestow their month awarded to any registered ACS forum user. In addition the top 3 players earn votes for the community's "Hall of Fame": 5 for 1st, 3 for 2nd and 1 for a 3rd-place finish. Every six months an overall winner for each league will be named who earn a pre-determined custom title for the duration of that league period.

Ensure that your copy of BtS is patched as necessary in order to participate in this tournament.
