I accidently wrote over one my original XML files

Please help...I don't know which one, but it is causing out-of-sync issues when I try to play multiplayer. I feel like an idiot Is there some way to figure out which XML file I screwed up and somewhere to get the original XML files? Thanks. (I have both expansions, but the overwritten file was in the original Civ4 folder)

Compare the dates of the files you have. The "current" one is your overwritten one.

Otherwise, reinstall the entire series of the game that you currently play. Since the saves, CustomAssets, etc. are not in the programs directory, there should be no problem. You are going to probably have to reinstall the whole thing anyway, even if you find which one you have overwritten.

You may want to UNinstall, DELETE the game directories, and THEN reinstall, since some people who do not delete the game directories and then reinstall have problems afterwards.
