  • One City Challenge in BtS - a bug?

I have always enjoyed the odd game of OCC, so I started one in BtS but then hit what I can only see as a bug.

OCC removes the restriction on the number of national wonders in one city. This is vital to have a chance. This always worked fine for me before BtS.

All went well, and I had three or four national wonders in my city (heroic epic, national epic, the statues, and oxford i think) and then it stopped me building any more. When i tried to build Wall Street in teh city, or Ironworks, it didn't allow me to select them giving that normal screen tip about not being able to build more than two.

Has anyone else seen this. Has anyone else succesfully built a whole range of national wonders in OCC in BtS?

In OOC, you can have a max of 5 national wonders, not a bug but done by design.

    Ahh, choices...choices...choices...

    Can't have them all.

Ah, that will be the problem then!

      Thanks for the info.

Is this new to BtS? I am sure it wasn't like that beforehand. And is this documented anywhere? (Spot the bit of self-justification!) That does make is sound an interesting challenge ...

Don't think it's new to bts, though don't quote me on that.
IIRC it changed a couple of times during various patches, ( from only being able to build 2, to unlimited IIRC) at some point they settled on 5.

Its new in BTS and really its only 4... your palace counts as a national wonder.

I had heard that the limit was sometimes 4, but in the one BTS OCC game that I have played I was able to build 5. The palace doesn't count as a national wonder in the normal game, you can build 2 national wonders in your capital.

I think that the cut it to 5 because the National Park fixes the only problem that you had the whole game before, so now you have to decide what you really need.
