  • More than 18 Civs in one game?

Greetings, I just picked up BTS xpac and can't wait to play.

I was just curious is there any way to play with ALL of the Civs in one game and not just the 18 max you get?

    Thanks

I don't know what would happen if you granted independence to a small group of your far flung cities. If it lets you, that would get you another civ.

How do you grant indepence to cities? I'm not sure if I went far enough into a game or not, but the only option I saw was to Liberate a city to another active Civ.

YOu need to have two cities on a different land mass, and then, you can grant them independence. Not sure what happens if there are already 18 civs though.

AFAIK, Game will not permit you to grant independence to cities if the number of civs in the game is 18 -- regardless of whether you started out with 18, or you started out with a lesser number and the total number of civs increased due to granting of independence to other colonies.

Chicagophi, there is a mod that allows you to use all 34 civs.

Now packed to the gills for v3.19! The current download for 3.19 can be found here. Thanks to modifieda4 for the reupload :). NOTE: The latest version available is V6.0. I haven't deleted versions 5.0 as rapidshare apparently only lets you download things 10 times now. As 5.0 is...

                Theres' also:

This is a modified DLL for Beyond the Sword v3.02 that allows for up to 34 nations in a game at once. No other changes were made. To make it more convenient for users, it has been placed into a mod directory all its own. Simply unzip the archive into your beyond the sword MODS folder, and...

This ONLY changes to allow for 34 civs and nothing else.
