  • A tragically funny event

This one doesn't even give me a choice!

All I can do is pause for a moment as the note crosses my desk and reflect on how lucky I am not to be among those poor farmhands who are being EATEN ALIVE BY FIREANTS AND DRAGGED INTO THEIR SUBTERRANEAN BURROW OF FURTHER HORRORS AAAAAHHHHH

Gave me a much-needed laugh in the midst of my serious job of eliminating the Spanish. Oh, wait...

What about the poor farm girls who have to try and milk those cows, in the morning - OUCH - OUCH. IF they are still there.

I, for one, welcome our new fire ant overlords.

      (sorry, couldn't resist...)

I initially read the event text as:
        "Fireants of massive proportions"

        ROFL

Now I'm imagining the cows getting dragged down by giant ants too.

Yeah, that's one way of stopping them phoning it in each day - if you don't for some reason notice you are trying to squeeze milk out of non-existent giant fire ant udders, you SHOULD be fire(ant)ed.

I'm so sorry for that phrase.

I recently switched to raging barbs and man, that is hilarious. One game i recently saw the barbs heading for the AI with a stack of 8 archers and 3 warriors.

Unless you're Industrious and have a supply of Stone, you're playing a gamble at actually getting now. Thanks to Blake's AI changes, that's one of the first Wonders the AI seems to go for. I've given up on it myself.

Occasionally putting a city towards a wonder you may not get can really help in the financial scene when you get your refund.
I don't see how I'm going to win my current game, but those refunds sure came in handy.
