BTS failure !

I bought BTS from Direct2drive and it was working perfectly.
I've added various Mods and yesterday, suddenly, BTS lost all the screen controls. The only thing thee was the central graphic of the beginning units.
I deleted the Most recent Mods but no help.
I downloaded it again, officially uninstalled it, and reinstalled but the same prob is still there!!

Perhaps you hit Alt-I, which toggles the interface. Try hitting Alt-I again and see what happens.

How would I find that out?

Also, I completely uninstalled BTS and downloaded it fresh and reinstalled. How could there be something incompatible?

Uninstalling does not remove everything - unless you uncheck all the boxes in one of the uninstall screens.

Even then some things may remain.
