Finally got my own copy, popped it in my drive, hit install.... and it tells me that there's something wrong with the original Civ4 installation. Reinstalling doesn't fix it, I think it has something to do with where I have it installed -- not in your default Program Files path, but on a different hard disk altogether. This happens after I pick my language and it loads the installer. Any ideas of how to fix this?

I have Civ4 installed in a non-default folder (C:\Games) and had no problems. My only idea is to reinstall on the main hard drive - but that shouldn't have been a problem in the first place. Sorry. -
Huh, I just checked my registry, and can't find any trace of Civ in there. Considering I've seen problems before with updates looking in the registry for the path name, that might be it. I don't know why its done this... would someone mind checking to see if their registry has a entry for the Civ4 path?Comment
