  • State Sponsored Terrorism

    Hello All,

I haven't had much time to play around with BtS yet. I do have a couple of questions about certain aspects of terrorism aka espionage missions.

While I don't believe it is ethical to poison water supplies and the like, I do realize depending on who is attacked and who received the attack is what Obi-won said depends on your certain point of view.

Is there anyway to know for sure is poisoning you etc? Is there a penalty for neutralizing a spy that "wanders" through your territory before doing any damage? If you know who is attacking you, and you declar war, is there any diplomatic points lost?

He means he doesn't think he shouldn't poison water just because in real life it is really bad.

        Really?

Man I love poisoning water supplies.

I do not know how the maths works - but you can get away with it - ie the victim does not know who did it, particularly in the early game. Having the anti spy buildings in your city helps stop it from happening, and if it does happen, then you know who to go and over the head.
I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

Although, my brother pulled a fast one at SIUC, after his grants came through the made monthly payments and graduated without owing a a dime. That was before the obseen rate hikes.

Anyway, I think poisoning the water supply is wrong. I saw in another thread a little bit ago at CFC, where a similar complaint was made. Why are you not allowed to retaliate after capturing a spy without the negative diplo modifiers of being the aggressor?

                        Nugog,
Are you sanctioning State Sponsored Terrorism?

Somebody remind me if I ever get into a MP game with him, to 1. Do not trust him, 2. Keep me on his good side.

To not-answer the OP question, if you are notified who a thwarted spy belongs to then you know. If not, then you don't: It's just an appendage to the random events feature, so your game progression isn't linear. The game of civ has ALWAYS been too linear, IMO.

Just make sure he isn't Rome http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...00#post5006400

When you catch a spy preforming actions against you should enter the diplomacy the other civ with the following options.

This means War (Declare War with out the ussual penalties of declaring war)

The world will hear about this (see below with more info)

We will let this pass this time

The second option should should only be able if the UN has been built or you have the Apostical Palace religion. If you pick this option, there will some sort sanction vote giving some penalties to that civ if the vote succeds (and the aggressor can't vote in it).

I actually have only played BtS vs the AI at this stage - so no compunction about poisoning them....

Against other human players - well it is a game mechanic to be used towards victory..............

                              And you can trust me.
