  • Ancient Scotland Yard?

So, most of us have probably seen that one of the actions that a Great Spy can perform is to construct Scotland Yard - which ends up looking pretty bizarre as a modern looking skyscraper in ancient times.

Does anyone know if there was or is supposed to be a technology requirement for this to be built? Is it just that they didn't realize how goofy it would look if constructed very early in the game?

I've wondered the same thing. It is very odd.

Couldn't they have at least made a sperate ancient/classical/rennaisance skin for it?
I'm not buying BtS until Firaxis impliments the "contiguous cultural border negates colony tax" concept.

What, you guys didn't study the glass-box-tower architecture of ancient Egypt in school?

This is something I'd like Firaxis to add in a patch. Unsure how hard it would be, but should be fairly easy.
