Does BtS include DX update?

Haven't gotten BtS yet - but will soon.
Tried the new patch and got the error related to DirectX c version. Do I need to go to MS to get the DirectX upgrade or will BtS do it when it installs?
(I have NOTORIOUSLY bad luck trying to download upgrades from MS/DX - would prefer to avoid it if at all possible).
I'd appreciate any info on this - thanx

If I recall collectly, BtS includes a new DirectX.

It includes directx runtime components in the install.
