    Still no part 3.........

I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

        In the "Spirit of Adventure"

Another Civilization IV comic strip from one of the "Civilization: Daydreams" ("CD") participants has emerged. Last week GUComics' Woody Hearn published a panel entitled "The Spirit of Adventure" featuring Bablyon's Hammurabi on the road, so to speak. Says Hearn on its conceptualization and realization:

[I]n working with [CivIV publisher] 2K I played a LOT of CivIV and wanted to do comics about it. But, I didn't want to interfere with process opting instead to use the jokes for the project. But 2K didn't think they were Civ-specific enough so we went in a different direction. Today's comic is one of the jokes that were moved to the side.

"CD" was a coordinated endeavour to offer a series of original content from web comic cartoonists and animators celebrating the release of the CivIV expansion Beyond the Sword, the most extensive addition to come to any Civ title to date [see related stories].
PolyCast Co-Host, Owner and Producer: entertaining | informing civ

Ctrl+Alt+Del's Tim Buckley "Marathon Conquering" comic as part of the "Civilization Daydreams" promotion was published on fellow fansite Civilization Fanatics Center last week. It follows a leader winning a diplomatic victory by any means necessary.

Fellow Civilization fansite Planet Civilization published the "Turn It Over" comic by My Extra Life's Scott Johnson last week. Part of the "Civilization Daydreams" promotion, it departs in its focus from other strips in the effort by concentrating on an aspect of CivIV's multiplayer capabilities.
