No, you just only get the resource.
Thus you should only build a fort on resources outside the fat crosses of your cities.

Do they still need have roads linking them to your city? I presume not from your earlier example of the horses on an island.

A dike and a lighthouse build 50km from the water falls within the unrealistic category for me
Umm, neither dike nor lighthouse are city constructions IRL.
They can be found in cities, but they are sea coast constructions, similarly as watermill is a river construction.

Forts also can grab resources, ie. on other landmasses, without you wanting to put a city there. (ie. that small island outside your coast with a horse resource, that's within your cultural influence)

So the resource still have to be within your borders, it's not like a colony as in Cvi3? Still a huge improvement though

Yeah, will work great for capturing strategic military resources within your borders and placing a defender on top of it, thus preventing an enemy's sneak attack against your iron for example.

No, just a fort within your cultural territory should do it.

              Ok, you're right
But in civ they are city constructions.
Civ doesn't know tile improvements that have influence on other tile improvements. (which would be a cool feature, btw)

              Indeed. It's not a civ3 colony.

That's indeed a good use for the fort as well.
The AI automaticly creates forts on resources outside all fat crosses! (speaking about a smarter AI!)

Something else the AI does, bring many siege units to capture a city

Yes it would and it's certainly doable.

Does that AI focus its espionage on valid other AI targets, or do you basically end up having every AI out there targeting you with their espionage? I can understand if they all aim it at you if you're the leader, but if you get more than your fair share when you're a middling civ, then that will annoy me greatly.

I don't really know if the AI targets other AI's, but it's not as if I have 3 espionage attacks every turn from other AI's.

It's more like an attack every 20-30 turns, and during war time a bit more. Most espionage attacks are being countered btw.

It's certainly not the case that I'm under espionage attacks all the time by everyone.

Looks like I have to wait a week and stick with "tasting" it here in this thread . Final update is that the supplier has postponed delivery a week.

Hmm, maybe I'll check Free record shop myself here in Oslo, need alternatives to my preorder (postorder?)

The Dutch Free Record Shops already have it, so maybe yours will too.

Yeah, hopefully. Couldn't find BtS on their Norwegian website (only vanilla), but I'll do a raid now to see.

Hey Cyber, can you update us on the status of Super Robo? Namely, why it was dropped from the game and if it is possible that we might see it in a future patch?

I don't know anything about a 'Super Robo'.
