I'm not sure it was announced, but if it's not gold yet I'm not sure it will be able to make it's release in just over a week? Did I miss the announcement?

It's not been announced anywhere AFAIK but it's a pretty safe bet they went gold a while ago. If not, there's no way they'll be making the 24th (let alone the 20th) as release date -- and we certainly would've heard about that... -
