Request for new graphics option

My computer doesn't like it when I want talk to several leaders in one turn. My game often crashes if I when trying to open the 3rd or 4th diplomacy screen for one turn. Firaxis, could you please make an option to freeze leaderhead animations?

I've always thought there should be a minimalist graphics interface for civ 4. Separate out the game engine from the graphics Firaxis!

I'm using a mod called Static LH. What it does basically replace leader animation with static picture. Runs well on my laptop with 32MB video ram.
The mod can be found at CFC.
