Warlords cd is not recognized...

I gave the Civ IV and the expansion Warlords to my son yesterday... And a new brand computer.
Civ IV works fine, even after the patch, but Warlords doesn't.
After install the last patch, I receive the message "insert the correct cd..."... And, of course, the cd is on the drive.

If I don't install the patch, the game works well.

So... Any help?

Reinstall both, and get the patch from firaxis' site. If this still fails you could get a No-cd patch. Firaxis released an early no-cd version of the patch, but if you can't find that one, there are others out there.

Just trying to get a little help to my son...
No, the CD is fine... The game works if I don't install the patch, and my copies (yep, I have two ) of Warlords don’t work.

From within the game... I'll try to install the patch downloading it separately.

If you have them, uninstall any CD/DVD burning or ISO mounting software. I noticed problems with SafeDisk and these types of apps.

Well, the game works fine now. I downloaded the patch from a website, (the vendor here in Brazil) and everything is ok. Thanks, folks!
