  • New Civ4 Version launched!!!

    hmm,calm,calm down...this is not beyond the sword,nor is it a mod,its just a new version of Civilization4.

believe it or not, recently firaxis launches the chinese version of civilization4,after 1 year of the vanilla c4,with many interesting modifications.

the man in the illustration is named "Mr. Tang",just for a replacement of the original Maozedong.the tenor of the introduction tells us he is a total fantastic character and all the elements in this game about him and the civilization led by him(it is also claimed as a fantastic civilization LOL) is unreal and warn you not to make a corresponding guess with the real world.

yeah, ppl in china all know we chinese people is undefeatable,we cant be defeated even in the game world,if there is anything negative about china, then it must be unreal~~~

in this version there is no chinese civilization,no mongolia civilization, all the civilizations is described as"fantastic" wtf with firaxis, we dont need such a lame version for such a classic game.

    "Mr.Qin"

    "Horaelock"

all the civilizations is described as"fantastic"
Reminds me of CIV1, where all the leaders were "Mumnificent".

      Is mumnificent even a word?

          Yeah, what joncha said.

Regarding the chinese version however, considering all the oppression of the chinese communist government and the censorship that comes with it, no big surprise that the chinese version is stripped of alot.

          Does it still have religion?

i havent get anyother informations yet,i havent get a copy of that version but i believe many people will purchase the expensive legal version on purpose for collection and support the gamedesigner after they have enjoyed much fun from the pirate version since 2005.

I wonder if Mr. Tang is a sneak peak at some art asset in BTS.

This is interesting, xiaojuzi. It seems odd to me that no civilization should have a name corresponding to a real one. I'd be very interested to hear more about these differences when you can tell us more.
