1.61: I always have The Wheel.

I've finally come to notice that no matter who I play Civ4 as, I always start the game with The Wheel. Meaning if I wasn't supposed to already, I start the game with three tech advances total. I don't know why this happens. I tried reinstalling the game, but it still happens. ...I currently only have Civ4 Vanilla.

So... Anyone here willing to try and help me find out where to change that? ^^;

Possibility: you're playing at a low difficulty level where every human player starts off with certain technologies (leading to more than two starting technolgies if they don't usually get the guaranteed one).

Well, I do normally play Civ4 on Warlord difficulty. After starting a game at noble level, it does indeed show that I don't start the game with The Wheel unless guaranteed such through what civ I'm leading.
