For the first time since playing Civ IV, I zoomed in to have a look at a banana plant. Having worked on banana plantations in Israel and my home state of Queensland, I was shocked to see utterly inaccurate artwork.
Firaxis would have us believe that a banana plant has a brown, bark covered trunk, pinnate leaf fronds, and multiple hands of fruit growing from various points of the frond.
In actual fact, banana plants are large herbs that don't have bark, they have large, linear leaves, and most importantly, they only grow a single cluster of fruit which is very widely known as a banana bunch.
Yeah, this might seem a ridiculous complaint to make - go and stick a banana where the sun don't shine if you think so, but I would like this error to be recognised.
