      Why is that a problem? The game will grant a domination victory long before conquest even becomes an issue.

      I'm not even sure why they designed the conquest victory in the first place. It seems to have relevance primarily for OCC games....

        Not necessarily, Wodan. All a conquest victory needs is for you to be the only remaining civilization, while domination requires both a minimum percentage of the worlds total population and total land area. Conquest could be renamed Genocide, if you get my meaning. Just rampage through the AI lands, raze every city and let the barbarians reappear to claim the land. Even if you never get beyond 6 cities, if you destroy all other civs you win.
        Age and treachery will defeat youth and skill every time.

          Quillan, we're talking about what the AI can achieve. Sure, a human can achieve conquest. The AI simply isn't programmed that way.
