I want to find out how to delete games that I have played and have gone on to the hall of fame, It seems like dozens just sit there and it seems a waste of space! Does anyone know how this can be done?

Do you mean the files that show up in the hall of fame? I think those are in the "Replay" directory (if memory serves) of Civ. But maybe you mean something else because I don't think those files are very big.One of these days I'll make 501 posts, and you won't have to look at my silly little diplomat anymore.
