Warlords Demo Game Looking for Teams and players

The Warlords Democracy game is forming and we are currently discussing about rules and settings.

The game will be a stock civ4 warlords game, starting with the ancient period, and all default conditions and standard victory conditions.

The thing that makes this democracy game different is that it is a PITBOSS game. There will not be any sending of the saves and the game will be played with simultaneous turns and with set turn timer. PITBOSS will allow the game to progress much faster than normal PBEM team demo game.

There is need for more teams and active players. So, sign up for bucket full of fun. It will be a civ adventure you don't want to miss.



Currently there is 7 teams and most of them are accepting members. If you are experienced demo gamer or you like to have a real challenge, you might want to form a team of your own and recruit your friends to join the fun.

There is still a couple of teams that could use more members.. Snoopy's team and Hyugen's Union.
Of course it is not too late to form a team of your own, but it should have enough members already when you form it.

This democracy game will be a little different due to PITBOSS system.
The teams are smaller and thus many of the team will not form 'governments'.
Team demo games are not just the game.
It is also about the relationship and discussions within the teams (read: spamming in private forums ).

The main advantage of PTBS over PBEM is that the game will progress much faster. My guess would be about 5 times faster... maybe even more.

The vanilla democracy game that uses PBEM system is now at 1200 BC and it will take a long time before it is finished. I think the warlords demo game will conclude even before it.

I wouldn't mind a game, when does it start? I'd say I'm not that good, so it would be a good way to learn. Where do I sign up. I have Warlords with the latest patch, will I have to uninstall it? HAve you decided when it will start?

- It starts when the settings and all of the teams are ready

I think all of teams are accepting members... I suggest you pick some team that has fewer members, like Hyugen's Union, for balance.
But, you can apply to any team you like. No-one is forcing anybody.

- The game is played with the latest (2.08) warlords patch, so no need to uninstall anything

- again, the game will start as soon as we are ready

The team has no name so you might make it into something banana related.
Think about the another cool banana logo you would get under your name.
