Civ 4, followed closely by the original. Somehow Civ 4 reminds me most of the first one, which is IMO a good thing.

I really enjoyed SMAC as well.

I really didn't get that into Civ 2. It was horribly tedious most of the time.

What about Colonization? Does that count? I was playing it only yesterday!

And no, it would not get my vote, Civ4 still gets it, followed by Civ2 and Col.
