Tech frozen game

Is there anyway to freeze the tech advancement at a certain age? Like say no more advancements past Medieval... Or stop at industrial...

Been waiting to play a game in a certain age with out advancing any further, and without having to play a scenero with some other agenda... (The rise of rome era in Warlords is victory point based...)

Is there a way to do this?

Mod the game by deleting all techs beyond that given point?

IIRC I saw some mods that do exactly this over at civfanatics in their forum.
