Garth, I think he's riffing off the polonium poisoning in England of the former KGB agent. It's a natural, especially when you have vanilla & uranium in the same sentence - mmm, tasty!

It's fairly simple to fix with an XML edit ... if you never play MP, then you could put the XML edit into your main Civ4 assets. If you play MP, you'd have to play it as a mod. Give me a minute, i'll upload a file.<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.

The attached mod should work. I haven't tested it, but it should require Fission to mine (use) Uranium. You can, if you play only single player, extract the file directly (not inside the folder structure) to the \Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Assets\XML\Terrain\ directory; if you play any (vanilla) multiplayer you must place this as a mod (maintain directory structure, install it to the \SMC4\Mods directory.<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.
