can you break a vassal agreement?

It allways bugged me, that a vassal can come to me, and demand that I severe my ties with his master... Well, that's backstabbing, he doesn't like his master... But I should be able to tell the master, and it should be grounds for war, should he so wish...

question: can a human player be a vassal to the AI? or to another human player?

Humans can't be vassals to AI, though I believe they can be vassals of other humans in MP.
