Updating without network connection

The computer I use for playing Civ doensn't have Internet connection at the moment. I'd like to get the latest patch installed, but is it possible?

I guess I could download the patch file from 2kgames.com to a connected computer and move it to my playing machine via a cd or an USB stick. But where should I put the file so that the game realises it has been updated?

The patch is an executable file that will perform the updating itself. Put it wherever you'd like to store it on your playing computer's hard drive and run it. (double-clicking from windows explorer will work to run it.)
