Warlords Patch and D2D version

Anyone have any word and when a patch for the direct-2-download version of Warlords will be out? Currently, it just always tells you a patch is available, but trying to install the patch says it has not detected a version of warlords installed on the system. Very frustrating. Especially when there doesn't seem to be any word anywhere on when this might be fixed or why it's not being supported.
