Anyone have weird graphics during battles? It pisses me off, because it looks like cheating.

I had a trebuchet attacking my city from 2 squares away. I get these weird animations of units attacking my cities from several squares away. Anyone get those? Any way to correct them?

I used to get those sometimes and have heard of other people seeing the same thing. Infantry appearing to run half-way across the screen to attack when they're in the adjacent square (of course...).

I now have turned off combat animation for when I attack and so don't see it. I didn't turn it off because of that but just to speed up wars a bit.

Hmmm, I took a screenshot of a worker walking on the ocean, really weird sight. Only, he didn't appear in the screenshot.

I get corruption on ice, most likely certain color. It sometimes makes all my troops into negroes, too! A colonial army, perhaps...

I have no idea how that frigate got there.

I've allways wanted to play "Russ Meyer's Civilization"

Yeah, I've had black ice suddenly show up, and I've had it turn a gorgeous royal blue. Also have had the occasional ship come out of nowhere, move a space or two, and then float four spaces to it's final spot. Chariots also leave vapour trails as they move sometimes, and when units attack, I've had them float four spaces towards a spot, before finding out whether I won or lost by the music. And, yes, my units have changed colour, too. Maybe it's my graphics card.

I've seen the apparent long-range fight, although the units were adjacent. I've also seen the AI ships float (sail) through ice I cannot traverse. The troops change color occasionally at a distance, but are all caucasions in the near-term battle graphic. Exceptions to this, I will note, are the oriental-appearing Mongolian Keshiks and the black warriors of the Zulu, maybe a couple of other UUs.

I've had all of these problems and more... They usually get worse as the game goes on, and get notable worse after I start trading for maps. I think it has to do with my poor under-powered graphics card being unable to keep up with the game. I know I should upgrade, but it doesn't really affect play so I don't bother...

In my last game I attacked a city from the east with cavalery with a rather high zoom (detail).
Every time I attacked the city the defenders of the city ran to the south! My first idea was that they were fleeing the city since I did not see any battle animation but I got the message that I had defeated the units. Strange.....
