When I play a custom game the game crashes everytime I play. When I play a normal game I have yet to experience a crash. Are custom settings possible or just what might be the problem?

I guess it would be a good idea to post a bit more details...
...does it crash allways during the same action? Or does it crash at random?
...how long can you actually play before you crash?
...what settings do you use (maybe the reason is, if you play on a huge map)?
...what's your system specs? which versions do u use?
