  • This must be a bug ?

I had a city that I was working on... it was fairly new.

Meanwhile I was trying elsewhere to make great scientists because i wanted the acadamies.

Well the city I was working on for just culture... I examined it and found to my surprise 2 great scientists attached to my city. I know for sure I did not build them.

I have no vassals or allies. A few open borders... and my closest neighbor is my enemy !?

Did the AI found those guys in my city ?? That doesnt seem right.... I like them... but I think thats an extreme gift for sure.

Speaking on this same(ish) topic I often find the AI has changed my allocation of worked tiles/specialist. I could be doing something wrong or missing something as I have only started managing my cities this game. I'm playing Warlords by the way. I'm not using the emphasise anything options in the city screen.

I had a city that I didn't want to grow anymore, and had in it 2 scientists that I allocated. After some turns I checked the city and found it was now 1 scientist and an engineer. I also noticed this happen after a great person was produced. All the worked tiles and specialists seemed to be reset. I can understand that during wartime, some tiles become unusable due to ememy troop movements, but I can't understand why my specialist allocation would change.

Is it possible to have the AI control what plots are worked, but still force selected specialists to what I want?

When your city size changes, the governor is "adjusting" things. In Warlords, turn on the governor, THEN choose your specialists. These "locked" specialists will be outlined in yellow.

I don't recall whether specialists are just not hilighted in vanilla, or if they didn't lock.

Well since this seems to have taken the form of a 'post your bug thread' I will join in,

First off I'm playing Warlords and I'm going for a diplo victory. Early on Mao Zedong and I had trade this was oh maybe 400-500 turns ago, I ceased trade with him after finding that he seemed to be a 'world-destabilizer'. A couple of hundred turns later I and most the rest of the world declared war and pushed him back until Ghandi forced him to capitualate.
Now that I have given you an idea of how much time has elapsed this is were my bug comes in. Every time I go to almost any other civilization I have a "-1 YOU HAVE TRADED WITH OUR WORST ENEMIES" tag and at the start of the diplomacy screen I get "We suggest you stop trading with our bitter enemy, Mao Zedong." Even though I haven't traded with him in over 500 turns or so! Whats going on? Bug? If its not a bug, can I edit this value for myself?
As long as people believe in absurdities they will continue to commit
                atrocities.
