  • Which is right?

This is an embarassing thread, but here goes...

I bought Warlords today. So, I fished around for my CDs. I found one, but couldn't find the other one. Since the place where I store all my games was a mess, I decided to clean up.

End result: Clean computer area... only one Civ4 disk.

I'm told that the CD version (which I believe I have; it says "PC-CDRom" on the CD I have) was two CDs worth, but I'm having a problem believing that. I've never just lost a game CD. If it was two, there'd be two somewhere around here.

Was the CD version of Civ4 two CDs? Will me not finding Disk 2 be a problem installing Warlords?

Civ 4 comes on CDs. If you already have Civ4 installed you can install Warlords with just the Warlords CD, and never have a problem until the day you need or want to reinstall Civ 4 from scratch or on a new computer.

So I recommend finding the CD, but it probably isn't urgent.

Last question: No. Warlords will install w/o the previous CDs from Civ IV IF Civ IV vanilla ia installed on your machine. To Play Warlords, u need the disc from the expansion, not the original version's CD.

Standard distribution for vanilla was 2 CDs.

In Europe, Civ IV came in one DVD, and Warlords one CD. So it depends where you bought it.

I'd look a little harder for that disk. Sometimes I'll lose a disk in a seperate case or whatever, and then find it two weeks later

Check your CD-ROM I find disks in there all the time

Also whats the go about having the vanilla dvd in for vanilla and the warlords disk in for warlords, surely the warlords disk should be able to play both games. Gets annoying playing different versions in multiplayer and having to swap the disks just to play one turn of a PBEM in vanilla.

Oh yeah, Aussie version came on one DVD.
