White Noise Issue in Warlords

Sometimes, I'm not sure exactly when, but I get this blazing white noise that comes out of my speakers. Its loud and very startling (I nealry had a heart attack the first time it happend).
The computer itself suffered an incident earlier in its history, so I'm wondering if its a problem with the computer or the game. No other game I play does this.
