Graphics/Interface Issues HELP!!!!

Hi there, this seems like a good place to get help!

Ok i had the Civ 4 demo, worked a treat.

Now i have my own copy of the game, its patched to 1.61 and i can load up a game and start to play normally.

The thing thats wrong is i cant see any improvements after ive built them, also things like cows dont appear on the map, i can see the basic terrain and my city and the mobile units.

I cant find any similar errors to this, im really confused !!

Another thing, when i start a game it seems to be stuck on expiring after 10 turns?! Even the demo had 100...

Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

BTW, im running Radeon Omega 6.14 drivers on a gigabyte ATI 9600 PRO 128mb.

Specs: 3.2ghz intel p4, 1024mb ram, wd raptor. plenty fast enough system to play, as i said the demo was all fine.

Sounds like a messed up install. I'd uninstall, and make sure all the files are actually deleted from Civilization IV's folder under the Program Files directory. Then re-install.

Don't know if that'll fix your graphical problems, those could be a glitch of your particular system & drivers, but I would imagine a complete reinstall would solve the timeout.
