I've been using them to make the +25% production buildings. I dont often attach them to a stack, though I did have one the other game i played. I think I still prefer to use them to build the special building in my cities.

Pretty much the same as others.

I use one to get HE & WP opened up, the stack any ohter in my HP & WP city, to really stack up thos +2's.

Seems to be of greater benfit than attaching the GG to a single unit. Mind you, if I really need that extra oomph to win a decisive battle - I consider it.
I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

Just like most of the others,
the first one gets attached to a single unit so that it reaches the necessary level for WP and HE.

The remaining GGs normally get attached as instructors to my primary unit producing city, although I might sometimes attach another GG as leader to a military unit, just for fun.

Normally I attach my GGs to mobile units, like knights or cavalry as I prefer mobile warfare (and use the cats/trebs/cannons only as support troops which get into action against the bigger, better defended cities, but rather not against the smaller cities with culture around 20% or less) and therefore most of my combat force consist of mounted units.
