Happiness form vassals

During a prolonged war Karakorum was slightly unhappy:



Checking the popup info to my surprise Karakorum should have had the same happy as unhappy points.



So where did those three happy points go?

I get +3 for being master of a vassal. Coincidence?

Checking some earlier saves confirms the fact that my vassals do not actually contribute to my happiness although the mouseover information states otherwise. Surely a bug.

Can anyone confirm this?

I thought it said "We influence other Civilizations!" or something to that effect-though I am not sure..

Yes it does, but that's not really the point.

I have to say that the fact that such a bug was allowed to pass doesn't speak well of balancing and playtesting.

I thought the increased happiness was supposed to be one of the key benefits of being a master.

It was supposed to be a key benefit. The developers have acknowledged the bug; trust that they will fix it. For the moment, play on.

It's even worse... Not only don't you get your deserved happy face, your vassal does recieve it instead of you.

Sure I do , I fixed the bug myself for the moment. It's actually only one line in the SDK.
