So my Praets are marauding through Greece, Carthage and Gaul, but I can't find the d@mn victory locations apart from Sparta. I'm burning city after city with no luck. Do I need to take their capital (like I did Athens) for the location to be revealed?

Overall how do you like this scenario?
I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

I'm interested to hear too. Whenever I finish a game I consider trying one of the scenarios out. But then I always seem to click new game - it's really odd.

The Rome scenario is good, as opposed to the Peloponnesian war scenario which I absolutely didn't like.

Well, I didn't win - couldn't get to the Celtic victory location in time. Carthage and Greece declared war on me, and sent wave after wave of annoying little units that I had to run around mopping up. And then I wasted precious time razing unimportant cities when I should have gone in for surgical strikes.

But I liked it. There's no reason not to like a scenario where you get to upgrade your Praetorians over and over and over again

I would sugest that Egypt is probably a much softer target for your second VP location than England.

I'd also recomending go after Carthage for the 3rd VP location before going after England.

(It would also be much more historicaly correct to turn the Mediteranian into a Roman lake before capturing London.

Doh! I totally forgot about Egypt! When I started the game, I could see the scores for Pyrrhus, Hannibal, and Brennus, and ignored eveything happening to the east of Greece.

On another note, I hate that the Roman leader is Augustus instead of an earlier one (like Scipio maybe).

On my game I had my troops go on a twenty turn march from recently conquered Carthage (my first conquest) to Egypt. Since the army was plenty large (Egypt was at war with greece so they were quite weak) and Egypt was far away, I put all new troops in position to attack Greece.

About the leader I would say Marius would be good. He is to late for the begining, but good for the overall timefram of the scenario.

                      Seems to be very true

I'll have to give this scenario a go this weekend!

I actually won this one by capturing Carthage first, then vassalizing Brennus and forcing him to give me the victory resource, and finally capturing Athens.

It's an "ok" scenario, but I doubt I'll bother with it again. The "tech tree" is just plain boring and there's no epic feel to the game. I was hoping for a more involved scenario with some unit variety and more grandeur. Instead I got capture the flag.

I tried vassalising, but they all hate me and are in love with each other.

Funny how the AI either is at war with each other, or is gifting cities out of pure adoration...
