  • Barbarian Wonders?

Ok, this may sound strange but bear with me. I was playing a Huge world, terra map, raging barbarians. After playing for a few hours I decided to take a break. So I saved, and then just to see how many barbarian cites there were in the "new world" I went into the world editor and took a quck looksie.

Of course there were a bunch of barbarian cities, one of which was building the Pyramids.

    OMG!

Has anyone else ever seen this?

It happens, especially on maps where barbarian cities can last long enough to develop (usually Terra maps with the uppermost barbarian activity setting). I have seen them actually complete wonders, especially the ones which are usually overlooked such as the Parthenon or the Great Lighthouse.

In my experience, the Collossus has been the most-built wonder for the Barbs.

Interesting news for me. Does it mean the barbarians were protected from civilization after building the Great Wall? Was there a revendicative intention from the AI in such an act?

They built the great wall? Did that mean that they couldn;t pass in and out of their own city?

If you took it would they all get booted out of the city radius?

It is pretty cool though. I'm very aggressive at completing wonders, so I haven't seen any barbarians actually finish wonders, but I think it's pretty cool that they can build them. Adds another layer to the game.

Now I find this VERY intresting.
In all my games I played in warlords so far, it has seemed to me that the GW is the highest priority-wonder for the A.I:s and it get built very quickly. It's almost alwasy the first wonder to be built.
                  GOWIEHOWIE! Uh...does that
                  even mean anything?

no, it was the celts, but the romans ganked them with praetorians.

It was obsolete by the time the Romans took it.

It was made before the Celts arrived in Britain.

Actually, it was built by a race of giant stone headed people, who then migrated to Easter Island.
