You know, it would be fun, if, after a while, a civ would emerge/be formed from/by the barbarian state. If there are enough of barb cities, or one of them is old enough. Should such event take place, all of the current barb cities would join this new civ. Maybe give them some bonus against distance maintenance, as they might be quite far apart...

They even have a leaderhead, if i recall correctly...
I've allways wanted to play "Russ Meyer's Civilization"

I have no problem with Barbs building wonders... except the Great Wall

There is nothing more enjoyable than taking good cities from barbs.

        I definitely agree.
In Vanilla Civ AFAIK I had it, too,
that the Barbs built large empires,
with lost of cities and even some wonders,
if the AI civs on the continent were too weak
        to do something against them.

But the barbs building the GW is really interesting

poor, poor barbarians... they are just trying to get ahead like anyone else. Someone should take up their cause with the evil XML overlords!

If the barbarians successfully build the Great Wall, then no players, AI or Human, should be able to cross their borders until the Great Wall goes obsolete. Since each barbarian city is a separate tribe, the wall would be good for only one city, but think how that city could grow, how long it could be an annoying factor in the game! I think there is potential for some very interesting game play there.

It's not a bug. It's a feature! (If it gets fixed, that is.)

                It never goes obsolete.

No, all the barbarians are part of one civ. It would protect all barb cities on that continent. Forever. Terra games would suck...

                  Yes, from other non-existend barbarians.
