  • Firaxis, a request please!

Just a little favour for the next time you do a patch. I still have some PBEM games on the go for the original Civ4 but have to change discs to do this Would it be possible to set it up so that the original Civ 4 recognises the Warlords disc and will load with that present (after all, you need Civ 4 to run Warlords).

    Just an idea

I noticed this the other day. It sure is a pain, and usually the original game recognises the x-pack cd but not vice versa (so you can't just download the x-pack).

    So, signed.

How about just stripping out the CD requirement altogether?

Not that it's hard to mount it on a virtual drive... I think I just helped prove their point.

Gets my vote, as having to change discs just seems kinda dumb.
I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

I assume he meant an "either-or". Either online verification or CD in drive. Giving an option to play without the CD, but having to verify you have a valid copy of the game.
