Where do I put downloaded files?

I downloaded Blue Marble Terrain and Earth 24 -- but I don't know where to put them in my computer. How do I get the game to recognize these 2 files?

Wherefrom did you get Blue Marble? At http://www.civfanatics.net/~bluemarb...tent/index.php , there is an executable file which apparently takes care of the installation itself. It also lists all the files and their destinations.

I do not know Earth 24. If it is a mapscript, it goes into the PublicMaps directory of your Civilization4 folder (assuming you want to install it for all users); or in the respective subfolder in your My Documents folder, if it is just for you.
