cd-checking in warlords

I've lost my civ4 disk. It's probably in one of the 500+ cd/dvd cases where i've put it in for 'safekeeping', but i'm not sure and I'm lazy

Can I just buy the warlords expansion and install it (I have original installed already) and then play with only that disc, or do I still need the original civ4 disc for starting the game?

(In otherwords, should I just clean my room OR buy the warlords)

Cleaning your room isn't a bad idea anyway .

Warlords, though, requires its own CD to launch. Of course, you'll still be unable to launch the original Civ4 without that disk.
