I started my first game as Carthage. I got both The Temple of Artimes (spe?) and Great Lighthouse. At that point Carthage was trading with 3 cities each getting 5 gold. Then when I built a cothon in Carthage I was trading with 4 cities each getting 6 gold. Then I got 1350 gold from a Great Merchant. Right now I have 1479 gold with 10 gold a turn at 90% science. GOLD! Is anyone else getting this much gold?

I don't have warlords yet, but when I play as Great Britain, Yes. I make a ton of gold.

But I almost exclusively get Great Merchants.

As I mentioned in another thread, I got up to 1000 gold as Celts. But that was because I was continuously failing to build wonders, at a quick rate.

Carthage with the Temple of Artemis and the Great Lighthouse is just stupidly powerful you should be rich. Be sure you build a castle too...

I'm currently getting 52 gold from trade in Carthage alone. Yes, I would not like to lose Carthage.

I've gotten 100+ gold before with 100% science, using China.

Wow! The most gold per turn I've ever gotten with 100% science is 60.

curently +71 gpt at 90%

mainly form religuos spread

have spread Islam,Conf,Chris,Bud and built the specialized buildings for each one

its +2 gold per city spread now
