      Stack Layout

      Ok

      My first Game here

But I like the stack layout better in this than CIV IV Vanilla

In CIV IV you had to do a bunch of scrolling, here they are in rows and in one view you can see what you have

I'm sorry, but how could you possibly know this? Do you have Warlords and have run enough tests to determine that the AI goes for the Wall more often?

Or are you making assumptions based upon AI routines from a previous version of Civ??

I agree with the stack format.. much better.

Anyway you can get us a screen shot of your Civ now that yo've expanded beyond the Great Wall? The wall still protects the original borders, correct?

I have played enough games to see that the AI likes the Wall pretty much. At least that was my impression, but I'm fairly certain it's correct.

Hmm.. cool, Thanks! I wonder how that effects their normal favoritism of stongehenge.

Thanks for the screenies, GTroll. I think the GW looks pretty damn cool, even if it does protect only two of your cities.

By the way... Can you update us on how many GE you've popped? You built both the GW and the Pyramids, correct?

Also.. What is the function of the General? I thought they were used just to give extra XP to units?

                  Do they improve combat odds?

                    Generals:

                    - Build a military academy in a city (+25% military unit production)

                    - Attach to unit as a Warlord (extra HP, free upgrades for the unit, access to extra promotions)

                    - Settle in a city (+2 XP for units produced there)

Do you plan to tell him that you were a tester?

Grandpa Troll, can I see a screenshot that shows your territory now that your borders are bigger than the great wall?

I have 5 GE so far, used one to build, IIRC, Hermitage

I have had 2 Generals, build a Military Academy with one and the other is pictured above as a leader

I meant "so I could see your new cultural borders", but its still interesting.

Aside from the Great Engineer points (and the increased chance of a Great General), did you really get much use out of the Great Wall?
