  • AI build queue decisions

I was just playing a game where I was in a close race against the Incas to build the spaceship. I had a spy in two Incan cities monitoring their progress. They had one part that was 5-8 turns away from completion, but on the next turn they took it out of the build queue and moved it to another city and starting building it from the beginning, so that it was now 50 or so turns to completion.

It was definitely a unique part (docking bay, I think), so there's no chance I was confusing it with another piece of the spaceship.

Five or so turns later the Incas declared war on Mali, so they may have wanted to gear up for war, but intentionally destroying your lead in the space race is a pretty strange thing to do.

Has anyone else seen anything similar?

EDIT: This was on Noble difficulty
